Collection: Edward McKnight Kauffer
Edward McKnight Kauffer (1890–1954) was an American-born graphic artist who spent most of his career in London, where he became one of the most prolific and admired poster designers of the interwar period. He produced over 140 poster designs for London Transport alone, alongside work for the Great Western Railway, Shell and the Orient Line. His designs drew on Cubism, Vorticism and Art Deco to create a distinctively modern visual language for commercial art.
