This exhibition poster features John William Waterhouse's famous Pre-Raphaelite painting The Lady of Shalott. It was inspired by the end of Alfred, Lord Tennyson's 1832 poem of the same name, which itself is based the Arthurian legend of a woman, held under a curse near King Arthur's Camelot, who is filled with unrequited love for Sir Lancelot.
