This poster by the German artist Rudolf Baschant began life as a postcard to advertise the first official Bauhaus Academy of Art exhibition in Weimar in 1923. Baschant was one of a number of artists like Paul Klee, Oskar Schlemmer and Wassily Kandinsky whose work at the Bauhaus had an immense impact on the worlds of fine art and design.
