Julius Klinger

Julius Klinger (1876–1942) was an Austrian graphic designer and poster artist whose bold, reductive style made him one of the most distinctive commercial artists of early twentieth-century Europe. Working primarily in Vienna and Berlin, he produced advertising posters, magazine illustrations and exhibition designs that combined wit with striking formal simplicity. He was murdered in the Minsk ghetto during the Holocaust.
