Collection: Cyril Power

Cyril Power (1872–1951) was a British artist best known for his dynamic linocuts produced during the interwar years. Associated with the Grosvenor School of Modern Art in London, Power developed a distinctive modernist style characterised by strong geometry, rhythmic movement, and bold contrasts of colour. His work frequently depicts scenes of modern life—sport, transport, labour, and leisure—rendered with a sense of speed and mechanical energy that reflects the optimism and tensions of the early twentieth century.
