Collection: Sophie Taeuber-Arp

Sophie Taeuber-Arp (1889-1943) was a Swiss artist, designer and dancer who worked across painting, sculpture, textiles, furniture and architecture. A pioneer of geometric abstraction and a key figure in the Dada movement in Zurich, she produced work of formal rigour and inventiveness that bridged fine and applied art. She also edited the influential art journal Plastique and was active in the Abstraction-Création group.
