Henri Rousseau

Henri Rousseau (1844-1910) was a French self-taught artist known for his naive and dreamlike style of painting. Despite his lack of formal training, Rousseau gained recognition from notable artists such as Picasso and Matisse and went on to become a significant influence on the Surrealist movement.
