Pierre Bonnard

Pierre Bonnard (1867-1947) was a French painter and printmaker who is best know for his depictions of intimate scenes from daily life. He was a member of the group Les Nabis, who were united by a desire to move beyond the naturalism of Impressionism and explore new forms of expression, using bold colours and simplified forms to convey emotional and spiritual states.
