Georges Seurat

Georges Seurat (1859-1891) was a French painter who was a key figure in the development of the Pointillist style of painting. He is known for his use of small dots of colour to create the illusion of a larger image and his iconic painting "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte." Despite his short career, Seurat's innovative technique had a profound impact on modern art.
